Heritage Hill in Weatherly earns a ‘Caring Super Star’

Heritage Hill Senior Community announces it is the only location in Carbon County named a “Caring Super Star” by Caring.com, a leading senior living referral service and a top site for senior care reviews.

Caring Super Star recognition occurs when a community has earned the Caring Stars award in three or more years. Heritage Hill is an eight-time recipient, having achieved Caring Stars consecutively since 2017.

Located in Weatherly, Heritage Hill is top-rated for excellence in care, providing aging adults with extra support through its personal care services and specialized programs for residents living with memory-impairing conditions such as Alzheimer’s disease and other dementias.

“We are so honored to receive this award. At Heritage Hill Senior Community, we take pride in the care we provide to our residents. We are fortunate to have a dedicated and caring team. We appreciate all the support from our residents and their families. We consider our community as family, and we will continue to provide the special care that our residents are accustomed to,” Lisa Perla, executive director of Heritage Hill, said.

The Caring Stars 2024 list includes 375 senior living communities in 36 states. In Pennsylvania, there are 20 Caring Star communities named over 13 counties.

“We applaud the Caring Stars of 2024. The feedback that their customers posted on Caring.com illuminates how well they delivered excellence in their communities’ services for seniors,” Caring.com’s CEO Jim Rosenthal said in a company news release.

The nationally recognized Caring Stars program started in 2012 as the first “best senior living” award in its industry, with winners determined through consumer ratings from authenticated feedback given by seniors and their families and other strict quality criteria.

Reviews are subject to re-evaluation to uphold publication validity and avoid giving the award based on any reviews with conflicts of interest or other guidelines concerns.

Additional requirements for consideration include an overall average rating of 4.5 stars or higher and published responses for any 1-star or 2-star negative reviews on their Caring.com profile; meet specific criteria for review volume and recency; and have at least one 5-star review published on or before Oct. 15, 2023. Caring also screened finalist communities using licensing information on the state agency websites, where applicable, and data publicly available.
