JT man gets jail for exposing himself

A Jim Thorpe man will spend up to one year less one day in jail after admitting to exposing himself to a young person.

Lehighton State Trooper Leo J. Petrucci charged Brian Thomas Herman, 60, with corruption of minors and indecent exposure after an incident on July 1, 2022.

Herman on Nov. 17 admitted to indecent exposure. Carbon County Judge Steven R. Serfass dismissed the corruption charge as part of the plea deal.

Judge Serfass sentenced him to serve one month to one day less than one year in Carbon County Correctional Facility.

He also ordered Herman to submit a DNA sample and pay the $250 fee; perform 100 hours of community service, and have no contact with the victim.

Herman is immediately eligible for work release, the judge ruled.
