Nesquehoning residents that had been affected by the lose of water Sunday are now under a boil advisory until further notice.

A water line problem on the west end of town was discovered Sunday and several residents were left without water.

The borough water authority said that the Hauto Valley Estates and some other areas of the borough were not affected, noting that if you lost water or had reduced pressure, you are urged to boil water before drinking it.

The water authority said that it will notify residents as soon as the boil advisory is lifted.

In addition, the authority is creating a text-based list to send out notifications when a water problem occurs.
