It’s that time of year when Lehighton residents are urged to perk up their businesses.

Those who do it best of all could earn all the glory in Lehighton’s annual Holiday Storefront Decorating Contest.

The Lehighton Downtown Initiative is once again promoting this year’s contest in which people are encouraged to vote for their favorite display.

Voting runs from 6 p.m. Sunday through Jan. 5 midnight.

The top winners will receive $100 off their electric bill, with the top winner downtown to receive bragging rights with their name engraved on LDI’s traveling plaque.
