Lansford prepares to ring in Christmas

Volunteers placed some 50 Christmas trees on Thursday in John F. Kennedy Park in Lansford in preparation for the Trail of Trees, hosted by Lansford Friends of Recreation and Lansford Alive.

Organizations and individuals will begin decorating the trees today through Sunday afternoon, when festivities get underway at 4 p.m. with holiday music and refreshments, ahead of the tree lighting at 5 p.m., and Santa’s arrival.

The trees will remain on display into the New Year.
