November 22, 1951 - Palmerton finishes its season undefeated after cruising to a 25-0 Thanksgiving Day victory over rival Slatington. Andy Wasilkowski leads the way for the Blue Bombers, coached by Joe Foran, by scoring three touchdowns. Wasilkowski gets his team on the board in the first quarter when he runs 28 yards to end zone. The TD is set up by a 20-yard pass from Eddie Shiner to Dick Werkheiser. Palmerton, who ends the season 8-0, extends its lead in the second frame on Wasilkowski’s 65-yard pick-six. Shiner connects with Doug Shiner for a 52-yard scoring toss in the third period, while Wasilkowski tallies again on a 1-yard plunge in the fourth.
