Faith Alive Church

Faith Alive Church, 678 Pine St., Palmerton (Bowmanstown) holds two services each Sunday with Pastor Rob Timlin. A contemporary service is held at 8:30 a.m., followed by Sunday school for all ages at 9:45 a.m. A traditional service is held at 11 a.m.

• Nov. 26: Cantata practice, 12:15 p.m.; 101 membership class, 12:15 p.m.

• Nov. 28: 10 a.m. quilting group.

• Nov. 29: 10 a.m. GriefShare; Advent Bible study, 11:30 a.m. and 7 p.m.

November Mission: Faith Alive Benevolence Fund. The benevolence fund is designated to meet the emergency needs that arise both within our own church family and in the community. Examples include helping with utility expenses, rent, emergency prescriptions and more.

Christmas poinsettias orders are being accepted until Dec. 3. Envelopes are in the lobby or call the church office at 610-852-2805 to order.

Dec. 2: Grace Notes Gospel Big Band concert, 7:30 p.m. in the sanctuary. All are welcome; Impact Youth Fundraiser from noon to 5 p.m. in the park. Baked goods and hot chocolate will be sold. Donations of baked goods an be dropped of at the church by 5 p.m. on Dec. 1.

• Dec. 3: Communion Sunday, 8:30 a.m. worship; 9:45 a.m. Sunday school; 11 a.m. worship.

• Dec. 6: Advent Bible study, 11:30 a.m. and 7 p.m.

• Dec. 9: Choir Christmas Cantata, 6 p.m. “The Heart of Christmas”

• Dec. 10: Confirmation Sunday, 8:30 and 11 a.m.; Combined Sunday school (Confirmation reception), 9:45 a.m.; Choir Christmas Cantata, 3 p.m. “The Heart of Christmas”

• Dec. 13: Advent Bible study, 11:30 a.m. and 7 p.m.

• Dec. 20: Advent Bible study, 11:30 a.m. and 7 p.m.

• Dec. 24: Kids Christmas program, 10 a.m.; 11 a.m. combined worship; 5 p.m. Traditional Christmas Eve candlelight worship.

• Dec. 31: Combined worship, 11 a.m.

• Jan. 1, 2024: Pork and sauerkraut community takeout dinner, noon to 2 p.m. Call the church office to reserve a pickup time by Dec. 22.
