The Nesquehoning Veterans Banner program is now open for 2024.

If you would like to purchase a banner, applications are available at the VFW Post Home at 300 E. Center St.

Also if you purchased a banner to be displayed in 2021, 22, and 23 renewal applications were mailed to the sponsor of the banner and the retired banner may be picked up at the post home on or after Nov. 20.

The deadline to purchase a new banner or renewal is Jan. 12, 2024.

Senior Center

The menu at the Panther Valley Senior Center for the week of Nov. 20-24 is:

Monday: Meatloaf, Mashed Potatoes, Green Beans, Yogurt, or Beef Club Sandwich

Tuesday: Squash Soup, Chicken Tenders, Carrots, Applesauce or Ham and Cheese Sandwich

Wednesday: beef Stroganoff, Noodles, Peas, Orange or Chicken Caesar salad

Thursday: Center closed

Friday: Center closed

The center also has announced upcoming events.

Cards on Nov. 20 at 10 a.m.; Bingo on Nov. 21 at 10:45 a.m.; Game Day on Nov. 22 at 11 a.m.; Center closed Nov. 23 and 24.

Crafts on Nov. 27 at 10 a.m.; Bingo on Nov. 28 at 10:45 a.m.; Po-Keeno on Nov. 29 at 11 a.m.; Movie and Popcorn on Nov. 30 at 10 a.m.; Christmas tree Trimming Dec. 1 at 10 a.m.

New members are welcome.
