Dream Come True telethon returns to Penn’s Peak Sunday

The Dream Come True Blue Ridge Chapter telethon will return to Penn’s Peak and BRCTV this weekend after a four-year hiatus because of the pandemic.

The telethon will air from 5 to 9 p.m. Sunday on BRC 13 and on Service Electric in Schuylkill County and in the Lehigh Valley.

It will be hosted by George Roberts, Kim Bell, Dr. Ed Miller and Kristal Nemeroff.

Tommy Zito will be performing as the house band with performances by the Large Flower Heads, Blue Mountain Community Church Band, Erin Kelly, Angela Nardini, Kristal Nemeroff & Son and Dance with Kim.

This year’s telethon will be in memory of Voula Kalamaris who passed away in 2022.

Voula was DCT-BRC’s first dream recipient in 2004.

The telethon is also dedicated to the memory of Mike Harleman, founding Dream Come True board member, who died earlier this year. Harleman, a community leader and businessman, was instrumental in forming the Blue Ridge Chapter of DCT.

The Blue Ridge Chapter of Dream Come True has completed 90 dreams since its inception in 2004. Five dreams have been completed or are in progress this year with an average of seven dreams fulfilled per year.
