Tamaqua woman cited for trespassing fifth time

A Tamaqua woman was cited for the fifth time for trespassing at an East Broad Street property, Tamaqua police said.

Judith Vacula, 52, was charged by police at 9:30 a.m. Nov. 10.

In an affidavit of probable cause, Tamaqua Officer Christopher Cordes writes that he was preparing for the Tamaqua Veterans Day parade when he saw Vacula on the property on the 200 block of East Broad Street.

Cordes said he received permission from the owner of 241 E. Broad St. to park his vehicle in the driveway, and saw a white station wagon there. Cordes said Vacula was sitting in the passenger seat.

Cordes said he knew that Vacula is forbidden to be on the property. He told her that she would be cited for defiant trespass.

Police said that Vacula was arrested for trespassing on the property in September and was told to stay away.

Furthermore, officers said it is the fifth time Vacula has been charged with trespassing. She is on probation from previous arrests.
