Camelback outdoor waterpark honored for best commercial

Camelback Outdoor Waterpark made a splash at the World Waterpark Association’s Annual Symposium and Trade show earning the Wave Review Award for best commercial.

The show was from Oct. 24-27 in New Orleans, Louisiana.

With 12 entry categories - from billboards to email campaigns - the Wave Review Awards are given out each year at WWA’s annual trade show to honor excellence and creativity in marketing and advertising in support of a water leisure attraction. Entries are judged by marketing and advertising professionals working outside the industry.

According to the Camelback’s vice president of marketing, Terri Lutz, the award-winning commercial was a video production spotlighting the allure of the resort’s Camelbeach, which is celebrating its 25th anniversary this year.

“Masterminded by our partners at Aumen Film Co, the video was produced for use during our anniversary season. A huge success, it was seen across various streaming platforms and to date has nearly 11.5 million impressions,” Lutz said. “We are thrilled it has been recognized by this important industry association, a non-profit international entity, which serves waterparks, aquatic venues and spray parks of all shapes and sizes.”

With 38 rides and slides, Camelbeach is Pennsylvania’s largest waterpark and introduced its newest attraction this year - Rival Racer - where sliders race each other through twists and turns on enclosed tracks.
