Despite opposition from two candidates, all Tamaqua Area School District Board of Education incumbents have retained their seats.

Unofficial results from the Schuylkill Count Election Bureau show that Trina M. Schellhammer, who cross-filed, was the top vote-getter with 2,861 votes. She was followed by cross-filed candidates Thomas J. Bartasavage Jr. and Melanie Dillman, with 2,760 and 2,709 votes respectively. Republicans Daniel E. Schoener and Larry A. Wittig rounded out the winners with 2,630 and 2,236 votes respectively.

Democrats Samuel John Koch and Jessica Tirpak were edged out. Koch had 1,410 votes and Tirpak garnered 1,406.
