A birthday card written by Evelyn Clausius, 71, of Tamaqua, has left her facing a harassment charge.

Tamaqua police charged Clausius on Oct. 30 after she sent the card to another borough woman.

In it, police said Clausius wrote, “(The victim’s name) Tramp. Stay away from my husband and keep your AIDS to yourself. The mafia is watching. No breaks a accident waiting for you. May your last day be a perfect one. Fill miserable days for you.”

Police said Clausius ended the card by writing an expletive.
