Walnutport Borough Council took the following action on Thursday:

• Appointed Ronald J. Bauer Jr. to the Civil Service Commission, and to the planning commission.

• Agreed to advertise a 2009 Crown Victoria (decommissioned), 1956 Galion grader, and 1988 Ford dump truck and spreader on Municibid.

• Announced that the Adopt a Tree/Tree Lighting will be held at 2 p.m. Dec. 2, with the Candy Cane Hunt at 3 p.m., and the tree lighting at around 5 p.m.

• Announced that the borough still has three open seats on the UCC Appeal Board, one on the vacancy board, recreation board, and a zoning hearing board alternate.
