Thomas C. McCabe

Town: Mahanoy City

Background: I’m a lifelong Schuylkill County resident. I worked and retired from UPS in Saint Clair after 37 years of service, my wife Teckla and I raised our children here. I retired a few years ago to spend more time hunting and more time with my seven grandchildren. Served on Mahanoy City Public Library Board, North Schuylkill COG and Borough Council, serving as a past council president. Over my lifetime, I have volunteered for countless organizations.

Why you are running: I think there are very few people that set out to run for a political office. My journey began once I retired and I ran for borough council in my hometown. Getting involved in my local community helped ignite a passion for wanting to make more positive changes to help not just my hometown but the county where I was born and raised.

What are your three main priorities if elected: Support current staff in the Register of Wills office as they work hard every day to assist the residents of Schuylkill County; run the office of Register of Wills in a way that would provide equality to residents of Schuylkill County; run the Register of Wills office in a fiscally responsible manner being prudent with the taxpayers’ dollars.

Additional comments: I’m committed to providing efficient services to the office of the Register Of Wills. I will be dedicated to the integrity, equity, and equality of the office and the people it serves.
