Here are the nominations for the Times News/Lehigh Valley Health Network Athlete of the Week.

The poll will go live on the Times News Lehighton Sports Facebook page with the following list of candidates today, and close tomorrow at 3 p.m. with the winner determined by the most votes received.

The winner will be featured in Wednesday’s paper.

Connor Hibell, Palmerton Cross Country

A week after winning the Colonial League meet, Hibell dominated the Class 2A race at the District 11 Championships Wednesday, crossing the line in 16:47 and nearly 30 seconds ahead of the runner-up.

Chayce LoPinto, Northern Lehigh Boys Soccer

The sophomore had a hat trick and an assist to help the Bulldogs win their first postseason game in program history, 10-1 over Williams Valley Tuesday, to advance to the District 11 1A semifinals.

Karissa Moyer, Lehighton Girls Soccer

Moyer had two goals and an assist as the Indians secured the first-ever postseason victory for the girls’ program with a 4-0 win over Pocono Mountain East in the District 11 3A quarterfinals on Tuesday.

Caelan Stangil, Northwestern Lehigh Boys Soccer

The sophomore had two goals and two assists to help the Tigers post an 11-0 win over Collegium Charter in the District 11 Class 2A quarterfinals on Wednesday.

Cael Heaney, Jim Thorpe Boys Soccer

Heaney scored the game-winner in the second overtime to lift the Olympians to a 4-3 win over Lehighton in the first round of the District 11 2A playoffs Monday. Heaney finished with two goals and an assist.
