A domestic incident that occurred Thursday at the Walmart in Mahoning Township remains under investigation.

township police Chief Audie Mertz said Monday that police responded to the store at around 5 p.m.

“There was a domestic situation and there was a firearm,” Mertz said. “But the firearm was not part of the domestic dispute.”

Mertz said the matter remains under investigation.
