Kids get their kicks at Weissport Halloween Parade

The Borough of Weissport held its annual Halloween Parade on Saturday evening, with participants traveling around the streets and borough park, finishing on the Franklin Street side of the park.

Candy and treats were handed out to children, and the parade featured more entries than a year ago.

Jacob Bedocs, of Franklin Township, was dressed in a costume and like all the children scooped up candy as the parade passed.

“This is fun,” he said.

Weissport Mayor Paulette Watson led the parade, driving the Weissport Police car. The Weissport Event Committee followed behind handing out candy and treats. Thomas Ketchledge, Jen Ketchledge, Watson, Joe Foster, and Matt Williams make up the committee.

Pyro Joe, known for his fireworks displays, had a pirate ship themed float in the parade. Ethan Schaffer, Theo Highland, Brent Schoenberger, Ed Solt, and Todd Kriner drove their classic vehicles in the parade.
