Lydon Patascher, Pleasant Valley Golf

Patascher fired a 78 on the second day of the PIAA Golf Championships and had a two-day total of a 14-over-par 158, finishing in 58th place in the Class 3A bracket. The junior shot a 39 on both the front and the back of the Blue course. Patascher had a school season record average of 74. He also tied the school record for lowest score (69), and became the third PV golfer to go to states.

Breslin was vital in helping the Panthers win their first Schuylkill League title since 2018. She put up 111 digs in three matches, including 44 in a five-set thriller against Pottsville in the final Thursday. She had 40 digs and five aces in a 3-2 comeback win over Nativity Tuesday in the semis. Breslin posted 27 digs and one ace in a 3-0 win over Tri-Valley in the quarters on Monday.

Connor Hibell, Palmerton Cross Country

The Palmerton sophomore rolled through the Colonial League regular season, going unbeaten in each of the Bombers’ six meets. That dominance carried over into last week’s league meet, where Hibell won the boys race at DeSales University in convincing fashion, crossing the line in 17:01.18, over 30 seconds ahead of the runner-up.

Camryn Fitch, Northwestern Girls Soccer

The senior had three goals and three assists last week to help Northwestern capture the league. Fitch had an assist in the Tigers’ 4-0 win over Southern Lehigh in the semis Wednesday. She scored three times and had an assist in the second half of a 5-0 win over Moravian in the final Saturday, and also assisted on the Tigers’ first half goal.

Isaac Frey, Northwestern Boys Soccer

Frey had two goals during the week to help the Tigers capture the Colonial League title. The senior opened the scoring in a 3-0 win over Southern Lehigh in the semis Wednesday, and scored the go-ahead goal in a 3-1 win over NDGP in the final on Saturday.
