The Sew What Quilt Guild recently hosted a Quilt/Craft Lovers Bingo at the Palmerton Area Library. Over $1,800 was raised from the event, and the proceeds were donated to the Palmerton Area Library. All prizes were quilted or craft items. The grand prize was a queen/king quilt. The quilt was constructed using cream, blue and purple batik fabric. The guild members each made blocks for the quilt. The winner was Jayne McLaughlin from South Tamaqua, left. With her is Terri Sheckler, Sew What Quilt Guild president. The Sew What Quilt Guild meets on the first Friday of each month at the Palmerton Library at 402 Delaware Ave. The next meeting will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Nov. 3. CONTRIBUTED PHOTO
