The Panther Valley Dental Society honored Dr. Joseph F. Pichacolas of Tamaqua on Tuesday night at a dinner-meeting held at the Mansion House Restaurant, Summit Hill. The Tamaqua dentist was paid tribute to on the occasion of his 50th anniversary in the profession.

A graduate of the Baltimore College of Dental Surgery of the University of Maryland, he began his practice in Tamaqua on Oct. 3, 1934, and continued there throughout his career at three East Broad Street locations except for a four-year stint in the U.S. Army Air Corps.

The dentist is married to the former Myrtle Hadesty of Tamaqua.
