Boats and kayaks moored at Tuscarora State Park’s lake are typically just a few feet from the water’s edge. An ongoing drawdown of the lake has changed that scenario, as the Rush Township lake is being drawn down 9 feet as part of a maintenance project on the outlet conduit of the dam. The work is an ongoing effort among the United States Department of Agriculture’s Natural Resources Conservation Service, Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection and the Pennsylvania Department of Conservation and Natural Resources.
