No one was injured in a one-vehicle mishap at 11:17 a.m. Sept. 15 at the Mount Bethel Plaza in Upper Mount Bethel Township.

State police at the Belfast barracks said Jimmy J. Mitchell, 35, of South Ozone Park, New York, was driving a 2008 Chevrolet, drove over a curb, struck a bench and continued to strike the building of the Mount Bethel Auto Supply. He was cited for “accidents involving damage to unattended vehicle or property.”

Police said Mitchell fled the scene prior to the arrival of police. The car was towed from the scene.

Jonas T. Cruz, 38, of Albrightsville, was a passenger in the vehicle, police said.
