Blue Mountain Resort will host its Oktoberfest this weekend.

The event will take place from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.

Oktoberfest festivities will include live polka bands, hearty Bavarian-style food for purchase, the biergarten (IDs checked at gate for people 21-and-over to be able to drink), hayrides, Schuhplattlers German dancing performances, a stein hoisting competition with prizes, a keg rolling competition with prizes, a kids zone with bounce houses ($5 tickets per child for all-day access) and a pumpkin patch for picking the perfect pumpkin at $5 each, and entering the pumpkin painting contest for ages two to 17.

Polka Country band performances will take place from 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday, and the John Stevens Polka Band performances from 1 to 4 p.m. on Sunday.

Scenic Comet Quad chairlift rides will be available throughout the festival. Purchasing lift ride tickets in advance is recommended.
