Rush Township supervisors voted to approve Ordinance No. 215 regulating open burning in the township.

The vote modifies the existing ordinance and tightens up the language.

Supervisors voted to approve and execute the acquisition of land from Tamaqua Water Authority on the condition it meets the solicitor’s approval of the final language of the agreement. The land will be used for organic recycling.

Supervisors voted to approve an extension for the plan action for the 92 Progress Avenue Land Development Plan.
