September 23, 1988 - Barry Elsasser scores a touchdown on both offense and defense to help Lehighton earn a 36-6 Centennial League victory over Stroudsburg. Elsasser reaches the end zone on a 33-yard run in the third quarter to extend an Indian lead and follows that up with a 52-yard interception return in the final period. Dwayne Fisher also scores twice for the winners, coached by Dave Parsons. Fisher, the game’s leading rusher with 80 yards, tallies the game’s first touchdown from five yards out. He later adds a 10-yard score. Lehighton also receives a 44-yard TD pass from Wayne Dietrich to Mark Shanton.
