Tamaqua man admits to sexual assault of minor

James E. Kryzymalski, 39, of Tamaqua, admitted in Schuylkill County court to sexually assaulting a 15-year-old girl.

Kryzymalski on Sept. 5 pleaded guilty to all four of the felony charges filed by Tamaqua Police Officer Karl L. Harig on May 15 of this year.

They are statutory sexual assault in which the perpetrator was 8 to 11 years older than the victim; two counts of sexual assault; and corruption of minors, with the defendant age 18 or Above.

He also pleaded to four misdemeanor charges of two counts of indecent exposure; indecent assault without the consent of the other; and indecent assault of a person younger than 16.

Judge Christopher Hobbs ordered a presentence investigation and a sexual offenders evaluation before he imposes punishment.

According to court documents, Kryzymalski committed the crimes between Jan. 1, 2018 and Dec. 31, 2019.

Kryzymalski Remains in the county prison under $100,000 cash bail.
