Nesquehoning

Historical Society

The Nesquehoning Historical Society will hold a bus trip to Lancaster on Oct. 21.

The bus leaves CVS parking lot at 8 a.m. Those attending are asked to be there no later than 7:45 a.m.

The day will include stops at Kitchen Kettle Village; the Rock Ford Plantation, a persevered 18th century home of Dr. Edward Hand; the Snyder Gallery; ending with a supper at the home of our Amish friends.

The bus is expected to be home by 8:30 p.m.

Cost for the trip is $75.

Summit Hill

Historical Society

The Summit Hill Historical Society will meet Wednesday, Sept. 20 at 7 p.m. at the museum located at the Heritage Center, 1 W. Hazard St.

New members are always welcome.

The Historical Society will also be open for browsing on from 10 a.m. to noon on Sept. 30.

Senior Center

The Panther Valley Senior Center will hold the following events next week.

There will be Bingo on Sept. 18 at 10:45 a.m.; Jim Thorpe Trolley Tour on Sept. 19 at 10 a.m., preregistration required; Po-Keeno on Sept. 20 at 11 a.m.; Guest Bingo by GHT Home Health, on Sept. 21 at 11 a.m.; Game Day on Sept. 22 at 10:30 a.m.

New members are always welcome.
