Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Desien of Nesquehoning recently celebrated their 55th wedding anniversary. They were married in Linden, New Jersey, on Sept. 14, 1968.

Rachelle is the daughter of the late John and Anna Cornel of New Columbus. Joseph is the son of the late Anthony and Candalora Desien of Carbondale.

The couple have two sons, Joseph Jr., and John, three grandchildren and a great-grandson. The happy couple are enjoying life at Lake Hauto.
