Lehighton Borough Council on a 5-0 vote took the following action on Monday:

• Approved the 2024 MMO for the borough pension plan in the amount of $222,271.

• Approved the 2024 MMO for the borough police pension plan in the amount of $270,091.

• Appointed Keith “Cookie” Schnell to the borough’s planning commission.

• Announced that an open house will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Oct. 4 at the borough’s Light & Power Department, 675 Bridge St.
