Hit-and-run truck snaps utility pole

West Penn Township police are investigating a hit and run crash involving a tractor trailer Wednesday morning along Dairy Road.

The driver of the rig was traveling east in the 400 block when he attempted to maneuver several slight curves before veering off the right side of the road and hitting a utility pole, snapping off power and utility lines.

The driver fled, traveling east to Wash Creek Road then onto Route 443 west to Route 309 north where he was located by West Penn chief of police James Bonner.

Skid marks lead up to the pole on Dairy Road.
