Woman injured in West Penn crash

Firefighters from several communities work to free a woman from the wreckage of her car this morning in West Penn Township.

The crash happened at the intersection of Route 895 and Archery Club Road. It appeared the woman’s car was struck broadside by a sport utility vehicle. Both vehicles came to rest in a field in the southeast corner of the intersection.

The woman was treated at the scene by medical units then transported to a trauma center. Fire companies from West Penn, New Ringgold and New Tripoli responded. West Penn Township police are investigating.
