State police at the Hazleton barracks were summoned at 12:01 a.m. Aug. 13 to investigate a crash at the intersection of Church Road and South Lehigh Gorge Drive in Lehigh Township.

Police said an unknown vehicle traveling east on Church Road traveled off the right side of the road and struck a stop sign before fleeing the scene.
