A 16-year-old boy from East Stroudsburg remains in critical condition in the Lehigh Valley Hospital-Pocono, East Stroudsburg, after a bicycle he was riding was struck head-on by a car at 6:56 a.m. Aug. 31 on Milford Road in Smithfield Township.

State police at the Stroudsburg barracks said he was transported to the hospital by personnel from the Bushkill EMS corps.

Police said he was riding the bicycle southbound in the northbound lane of Milford Road when it was struck by a Toyota Corolla driven northbound by a 29-year-old woman from Stroudsburg.

Police said the car was towed from the scene while the bicycle was taken to the police barracks.
