Zion Lewistown

Pastor Jim Williams will officiate at the 10:30 a.m. worship service this Sunday at Zion Church Lewistown Valley. Sunday school is scheduled for 9:30 a.m.

Calvary Lewistown

Pastor Kimberly Leskowitch will share the message for Grandparents Day on this Sunday at the 10:30 a.m. worship service at the Lewistown Valley Tabernacle. Sunday school is scheduled for 9:15 a.m. Evening service at 6:30 p.m.

Wednesday, Sept. 13 is church cleaning at 4:45 p.m. followed by pizza.

Andreas VFW

Andreas VFW Post 5069 will meet on Wednesday, Sept. 13 at 6 p.m. to dedicate a new picnic table in memory of Herbert Wink Jr. Regular meeting will start at 7 p.m.

Tamaqua Seniors

The Tamaqua Senior Citizens met on Aug. 31 with 28 members in attendance. The President opened the meeting with the reading “God’s Creations.” Gladys Arner was added to the sick list.

The Christmas party changed from DiMaggio’s to Hess Catering, Schuylkill Haven, by majority vote. Prized were won by Mary Bittle, Roberta Hollenbach and Nancy Godenis.

Food Pantry

American Primitive Methodist Church working in partnership with the Salvation Army will distribute food twice a month. The second Wednesday of each month from 2 to 5 p.m. and the third Wednesday from 10 a.m.-noon and 4 to 5:30 p.m.

New Life Assembly of God
