State police at Lehighton

State police at Lehighton have released the following reports:

• A 70-year-old Saylorsburg woman was cited by with harassment by physical contact after they were called to Sugar Hollow Road in Chestnuthill Township at 3:50 p.m. Aug. 1.

Police said the victim is a 35-year-old man from Collingdale.

• A 31-year-old Laurys Station man is facing charges of driving under the influence of a controller substance after a traffic stop conducted at 3:54 a.m. Aug. 21.

He was stopped in a 2014 Subaru Impreza for a Motor Vehicle Code violation on Lehigh Drive in Palmerton Borough.

• Police were called to a criminal mischief incident at 12:14 a.m. Aug. 25 at a property on Gernerd Road, Polk Township.

Police said the victim is a 67-year-old Kunkletown man who reported someone damaged his mailbox.

• A 22-year-old Saylorsburg man and a 21-year-old Palmerton woman were cited for harassment by physical contact after state police at the Lehighton barracks responded to an inactive domestic dispute at 2:02 p.m. Aug. 15 at Birchwood Park, Ross Township.

• A 48-year-old man from Terre Haute, Indiana, is being charged with driving under the influence of alcohol. Police said they stopped him in a 2013 Cadillac for a Motor Vehicle Code violation at the intersection of Route 209 and Village Edge Drive in Chestnuthill Township.

• David Hardy, 58, of Saylorsburg, was cited twice for harassment after police were called to two disturbances in Ross Township.

The victim is a Saylorsburg woman.

The first incident happened at 6:28 p.m. Aug. 12 at 116 Bluegrass Lane. Police said Hardy was blocking the driveway using his vehicle and impeding access to where the victim resides. They said he sped up his vehicle and went behind the victim’s vehicle at a high rate of speed while yelling and following too closely as if he intended to hit her vehicle’s rear bumper.

Then at 3:49 p.m. Aug. 22, police were called to 121 Bluegrass Lane where it was determined Hardy, identified as a “landlord,” broke the door of a shed he rents to the woman and entered it without her consent. Police said the victim recorded the incident and asked Hardy to exit the shed, at which time Hardy got to a proximity to the woman’s face while making a fist with his hand, indicating he was going to punch her.
