Jerusalem Evangelical Lutheran Church Sunday Worship services are held at 9 a.m. with Pastor Kenneth Melber Jr. All are welcome to attend.

We are currently holding two fall Church fundraiser events:

• Persian Donut Sale, $2 each. Orders are due by Sept. 10.

Pick up donuts at the church on Thursday, Sept. 21 from 9 a.m.-1 p.m.

• Fall Basket Social & Bake Sale will be held from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Oct. 14.

There will be theme baskets and a raffle table with $25 hidden within three baskets.

There will also be homemade food, baked goods, chow-chow, and apple butter.

The events are located at Jerusalem Evangelical Lutheran Church, 500 Church Drive (Trachsville) Palmerton. (Off Rt.209 behind Towamensing Fire Co.)

Faith Alive Church

Faith Alive Church, 678 Pine St., Palmerton (Bowmanstown), holds two services each Sunday with Pastor Rob Timlin.

Save the date: A community soup social will be held Saturday, Oct. 7 from 6-8 p.m. in Leah’s Room. Donations accepted for The Gathering Place Mission in Weissport.

Palmerton pool

The Palmerton Memorial Park is offering free admission to the pool to all Palmerton Area School District residents on Saturday, Sept. 2 from noon to 7 p.m.
