The investigation continues after a New Jersey man drowned in a lake Saturday in Monroe County.

Pocono Mountain Regional Police said Isham Huq, 26, of Edison, New Jersey, drowned early Saturday afternoon at Dresser Lake in Tobyhanna.

Police said he was kayaking when he flipped over and went into the water.

Witnesses on shore heard Huq yelling for help, but lost sight of him.

Huq was located several hours later, in the water, a short distance from where he was last seen, and the Monroe County Coroner’s Office pronounced him dead.

Huq’s kayak was recovered, but no life jacket was found.

Police were assisted by the Coolbaugh Township Fire Department, A Pocono Country Place Security and numerous other fire departments and search and rescue teams from the surrounding counties.
