Monroe County commissioners

The Monroe County commissioners approved the following items at their meeting last Wednesday morning.

• Additional work hours – Sheriff’s Office overtime report for the period ending July 30: deputies, 84.50 hours; security, 29 hours; clerks, 13 hours. Assessment Office: five hours per week from Aug. 7 to Sept. 30 for Deborah Storman, Susan Felker and Susan Sebring. Tax Claim Bureau: two hours of overtime on Sept. 11 and 12 for Mindy Knitter, Lynn Dehaven, Stephanie Reed, Kelley Sickles, Tina Zito, Susan Kinsley and Marijana Mihalopoulos;

• Vouchers payable: $1,406,627.37 for the week ending Aug. 4; $3,528,327.22 for Aug. 11;

• Gross payroll: $1,345,489.21 for July 30;

• Healthcare benefits – Highmark Blue Cross/Blue Shield: $127,165.37 on Aug. 1; $151,531.50 on Aug. 8; Geisinger: $160,274.08 on Aug. 1; $67,656.15 on Aug. 8; dental claims total: $11,167.39;

• Area Agency on Aging – PurFoods LLC doing business as Mom’s Meals – increase reimbursement rates to $6.33 for home delivered meals, and $7.27 for home delivered renal or pureed meals; Tree of Hope Home Care LLC – increase rate to $20 per hour for personal care and home support services;

• Monroe County Children & Youth Services: approve submission of the 2024-2025 Needs Based Plan and Implementation Plan and execute the Assurance of Compliance and Participation Form. Purchase of Service Agreements: New Way Youth Services – extend contract to June 30, 2024; Justice Works Youthcare – extend contract to June 30, 2026; POS agreements from July 1 to June 30, 2024 – Cornell Abraxas Group LLC – $850,000; Colonial Intermediate Unit 20 – $275,000; Pathways Adolescent Centers Inc. – $230,000;

• Budget adjustment report dated Aug. 10 totaling $2,369,010;

• Budget adjustment report dated Aug. 10 totaling $2,413,453;

• Accept a proposal from Reilly Associates for $8,300 to prepare specifications, bidding documents and construction administration for the repaving of the lower parking lot at the Administrative Center;

• Approve the use of Courthouse Square by the Vietnam Veterans of America Pocono Chapter 678 on Sept. 15 for the National POW/MIA Recognition Day;

• Approve the submission of the 2022/2023 State Food Purchase Program Final Report in the amount of $281,489.72;

• Approve the 2022-2023 Medical Assistance Transportation Program 4th Quarter Report in the amount of $155,578.53;

• Grants manager will electronically submit the following: 2023 Election Integrity Grant Program application in the amount of $589,676.52; 2023 HUD Continuum of Care Rapid Rehousing renewal application in the amount of $254,529; 2023 HUD Continuum of Care Rapid Rehousing new application in the amount of $295,771; 2023 Emergency Solutions Grant ;

• Adopt a resolution authorizing the filing of a proposal for the 2023 ESG in the amount $1,365,114;

• Additions to the county list of approved vendors: Aging – Norma R. Leap and Joseph A. Boeglin;

• Domestic Relations: Title IV-D attorney contracts – Janet Catina, Esq. and James Gregor, Esq.

• Capital outlay purchases: Aug. 10 total of $49,228.34;

• Computer capital purchases: Aug. 10 total of $33,820.03.
