Trailing by a 4-2 score, the winners tie the game in the sixth on a two-run homer off the bat of Dave Malkin. A three-run frame in the seventh proves to be the difference as Tom Zubek delivers an RBI single and Don Jones provides insurance with a two-run hit. Malkin ends the contest with two hits, as does Gene Pavlik. Don Fredericks earns the victory in relief. Steve Zenko and Tom Tkach each chip in with a hit and an RBI.
