State police at Bethlehem - crashes

State police at Bethlehem released information on area crashes:

• A 2015 Nissan Rogue operated by Amy J. Saas, 42, of Palmerton, was damaged in a two-vehicle crash at 9:28 a.m. Aug. 4 on the Route 22 on-ramp in Hanover Township. She was uninjured.

Police said she was stopped at the yield sign on the ramp from Route 22 to Airport Road South when a 2012 Volvo driven by Mikayla D. Batchelor, 24, of Bethlehem, struck it from behind. Batchelor was also uninjured.

Police said the Volvo was towed from the scene.

Batchelor was cited for “stop signs and yield signs.”

• Thomas A. Moffit, 24, of Silverdale, was cited for driving on roadways after a mishap at 1:24 p.m. July 31 at the intersection of Mountain and Bake Oven roads in Heidelberg Township.

State police at the Bethlehem barracks said he was driving a 2007 Nissan Versa northbound on Bake Oven Road when he stopped at the intersection and failed to yield to oncoming traffic, at which time the Versa was struck by a 2014 Honda CRV driven by Jose A. Delgado Hernandez, 61, of Patterson New Jersey, who was westbound on Mountain Road at the time.

Police said the Versa traveled through the intersection and came to rest in the southbound lane of Bake Oven Road. The Honda left the roadway and traveled into a grassy area. It was towed from the scene.

Neither driver was hurt in the incident.
