Monroe County crashes

State police at Stoudsburg reported on the following crashes:

• Brandon H. Lee, 19, of Easton, sustained suspected minor injuries in a crash at 8:28 p.m. July 25 on Interstate 380 in Tobyhanna Township.

State police at the Stroudsburg barracks said he did not require a medical transport after the crash.

Police said he was driving a 2023 Dodge Challenger southbound when he attempted to pass a 2019 Ford F350 driven by Joseph W. Cotterino, 56, of Lehighton when the Challenger struck the rear driver’s side of a trailer Cotterino was pulling. Upon impact, the Challenger spun clockwise and rolled over several times before coming to rest. Cotterino was not hurt.

Police said the Challenger sustained disabling damages and was towed from the scene. The trailer being pulled by the F350 had minor damages.

Police said Lee was cited for failure to drive at a safe speed.

• Jordyn J. Garcia, 17, of Saylorsburg, was cited after a two-vehicle crash at 8:51 p.m. July 17 on Interstate 80 in Smithfield Township.

Police said she was driving a 2012 Hyundai Sonata that was involved in an incident with a 2019 tractor trailer driven by Armando R. Guzman-Martinez, 31, of Paterson, New Jersey. No one was hurt.

• Austin D. VanHorn, 22, of East Stroudsburg, was cited for failure to drive at a safe speed after a one-vehicle crash at 11:05 p.m. July 14 on Route 33 in Hamilton Township.

Police said he was driving a 2017 Honda Civic that went out of control, traveled onto the right shoulder and struck a guide rail. He was not injured.

The Civic was towed from the scene.

• Christopher M. Billiard, 22, of Stroudsburg, was cited after a crash at 2:32 p.m. July 24 at the intersection of Route 209 and Chevy Lane in Hamilton Township.

Police said he was driving a 2000 Jeep Wrangler southbound and was attempting to overtake another southbound vehicle, a 2007 GMC driven by Alfred J. Frantz, 58, of Stroudsburg, who was attempting to make a left turn onto Chevy Lane, when the Frantz vehicle struck the Wrangler. After the impact, the Wrangler rolled onto its side and came to rest on the northbound shoulder of the road. It was towed from the scene.

Police said the GMC sustained cosmetic damages.

No one was injured.
