The Carbon County Commissioners this week:

• Accepted a proposal from Control Security Inc. of Jim Thorpe, for the purchase and installation of a fire alarm system for the animal shelter to be monitored by the Carbon County Communications Center. The cost is $7,777.20 and requires a monthly cellular charge of $18.

• Accepted the 2022-23 Third Quarter Inventory Utilization Report and Invoice Expense Reimbursement Request for The Emergency Food Assistance Program.

• Approved the 2023-24 Grant-In-Aid notification form the Juvenile Court Judges’ Commission for partial salary reimbursement of the Juvenile Court officers from July 1, 2023, to June 30, 2024. Revenue estimated at $$69,300.

• Approved the 2023-34 Medical Assistance Transportation Program participation grant agreement and assurance of compliance with the state Department of Human Services.

• Approved a banner request for the 2023 Carbon County College & Technical Education Night, Sept. 27 from 6:30 to 8 p.m. The request is for Sept. 14 to 29.
