The cost of the Courthouse Addition Project in Monroe County continues to change and now some copper cables need to be relocated.
The county commissioners ratified an agreement with Frontier Communications for $40,811 at the July 19 meeting. Frontier will relocate copper cables along Monroe Street between North Seventh and North Sixth streets.
At their July 5 meeting, the commissioners approved four change orders for the Ramsey School Project for CMG of Easton Inc., the general contractor.
The first change order is $5,493 for restroom floor preparation and demolition; $15,508 for final cleaning of the building; $23,233 for restroom alterations; and $27,458 for an outside railing remodel. The school is being renovated for use by the county during the renovation of the courthouse.
