Road work this week
The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation announces the following road work this week:
Carbon County
• Kidder Township/East Side Boro, Route 940 between Luzerne and Monroe County lines, milling and paving, lane restriction with flagging in both directions, daytime through Friday.
• Mahoning Township, Packerton Drive between Beaver Run and Pine Hollow, drainage work, lane restriction in both directions, daytime through Friday.
Lehigh County
• Interstate 78, Between Exit 55 (Route 29) and Northampton County line, construction, nighttime lane restrictions, 9 p.m. to 6 a.m., through Saturday; Exit 49 (Route 100) and Exit 54 (Route 222), lane restriction, 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. through Friday.
• Route 378 South between Route 22 and Hill to Hill Bridge, pothole patching, Thursday and Friday, daytime restriction.
Monroe County
• Route 611 in Stroud Township, between Skinner Hollow Road and Bridge Street, lane restriction with flagging for utility surveying, daytime through Aug. 4.
Northampton County
• Route 22 between routes 512 and 33, construction, lane restriction both directions for construction work. Traffic disruptions will include weeknight single-lane conditions from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. through Friday.
• Route 33, between Route 22 and Tatamy, nighttime lane restrictions for pavement rehabilitation work, through Friday.
• Route 33 south, between Tatamy and Belfast Exit, bridge inspection, daytime July 30.
• Route 33 north, between Belfast Exit and Main Street (Tatamy), bridge inspection daytime Saturday.
