The beach at Locust Lake State Park in Barnesville was closed to swimming on Tuesday, according to the Department of Conservation an Natural Resources.

The closure is because of resampling requirements. As a precaution, the beach will remain closed until acceptable water sample results are received. DCNR has posted closure signs at the beach.

The beach at Tuscarora State Park in Barnesville has been closed since July 6 because of resampling requirements.

Other activities at both parks, such as camping, picnicking, hiking and fishing are proceeding as usual.
