In other matters, the Schuylkill County commissioners also agreed to a $126,065 tech purchase for the Management Information Systems department.
Commissioners approved the agreement with CDI Financial Services to buy a Rubrick CDM Enterprise Edition backup solution for Microsoft 365 Exchange Online, SharePoint, and OneDrive.
The package includes hardware, software, licensing, installation, training, and support.
The system provides a dedicated ransomware response team, and will help with an investigation in the event of a ransomware attack.
The price will be paid in three annual installments: $59,532.08, to be paid with American Rescue Plan Act funds, and $33,416.46 in each of the final two years, to be paid from the county’s General Fund.
