Senior Center

The menu at the Panther Valley Senior Center for the week of July 17-21 is:

Monday: Chicken Tenders, Potato Wedges, Broccoli and Cauliflower, Fruit Cup or Deli Sandwich

Tuesday: Sausage and Peppers, Rice, Wax Beans, Orange or Chicken and Swiss Sandwich

Wednesday: Beef Pot Pie, Mashed Potatoes, Carrots, Pudding or BBQ Chicken Salad

Thursday: Tomato Soup, Fish Sandwich, Red Potatoes, Melon or Turkey and Cheese Sandwich

Friday: Roast Pork, Halushki, Peas, Cookie or Cranberry Chicken Salad

The center also has announced upcoming events.

Picnic at Eurana Park, Weatherly on July 14 at 9 a.m.

Po-Keeno on July 17 at 11 a.m.; Bingo on July 18 at 10:45 a.m.; Drumming Exercise on July 19 at 11 a.m.; Center Closed on July 20; Movie and Popcorn on July 21 at 10 a.m.

Horse racing on July 24 at 11 a.m.; Speaker from Dedicated Nursing on July 25 at 11 a.m.; Po-Keeno on July 26 at 11 a.m.; Bingo on July 27 at 10:45 a.m.; Crafts on July 28 at 10 a.m.

Cards, pool, games, available daily from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

New members always welcome.

PV Golden Agers

The Panther Valley Golden Agers met on July 10 with 15 members in attendance. Vice-president Mary Bittle opened the meeting with the reading “Everyone Needs Prayer.”

The next meeting will be July 24 at 1 p.m. at the St. Ann Senior Apartments, Lansford.
