Andreas VFW

Andreas VFW Post 5069 will meet at 7 p.m. on July 12 at West Penn Park. They are also holding a luncheon at 11 a.m. on July 15 at Leiby’s Restaurant.

All members in good standing and one guest are invited.

Tamaqua Seniors

The Tamaqua Senior Citizens met on June 29 with 26 members in attendance. President Mary Bittle opened the meeting with the reading “Anticipation.”

Mary Taylor was wished a happy birthday.

The group meets at 1 p.m. every Thursday at the Coaldale Complex. Anyone 55 and older is invited to attend.

Calvary Lewistown

Pastor Kimberly A. Leskowich, newly appointed to Calvary Evangelical UMC, Lewistown Valley, will offer the message at the 10:25 a.m. worship service this Sunday. Services are held at the Tabernacle. Sunday school is scheduled for 9:15 a.m. and evening service at 6:30 p.m.

There will be no prayer and share this week as Bible school will be in progress.

Rush-Ryan Seniors

The Rush-Ryan-Delano Senior citizens met on June 27 with 41 members in attendance. A moment of silence was observed for Grace Sakusky.

Refreshments were donated and served by the Neifert and Mundy families and Sherry Herb.

The next meeting will be the groups summer picnic starting at noon on July 11. Catering will be provided by Hess Catering of Schuylkill Haven.

The group meets at 1 p.m. the second and fourth Tuesday of each month at the White church, Barnesville. Anyone 55 and older is invited to attend.

New Life Assembly of God

Sunday service at 10 a.m. Children’s church and nursery available. The church is located at 407 Schuylkill Ave., Tamaqua.

The Rev. Rick Clemson will officiate at the 10:30 a.m. worship service Sunday in American Primitive Methodist Church. Sunday school scheduled for 9:30 a.m.
