The Tamaqua Area Chamber of Commerce is still taking orders for Hometown Heroes banners.
The program is intended to honor any local hometown hero who has provided beneficial service to the Tamaqua area. Heroes may include first responders, organization volunteers, civic leaders, active military and veterans both living and deceased.
The banners will be displayed on available poles throughout the downtown for a minimum of 3 years.
Aimee Dotson, the Chamber’s office and outreach administrator, said the first round of 2023 banners has been installed.
“We have about 30 spaces remaining. We will be taking orders for 2 weeks and then we hope to get these up in August,” she said.
The banners cost $225. For more information, contact chamber@tamaqua.net.
